rushes or lags

Time as birth 

Where dreams unfurling flags

Time as growth

through moments we strive

Time as death

we bid goodbye to life's drive 


Time as memory 

past etched deep in mind

Time as future 

dreams we yearn to find

Time as trade

the deals that we make 

Time as opportunities

slipping like sand in a lake 


Time as day light

moments to toil 

Time as dark night

moments to uncoil

Time as travel

journeys both far and near

Time as money, silver and gold

spent or saved, values clear


Time as fame

fleeting star's dance

Time as mistakes

chances to enhance

Time as festival

celebrations soaring high

Time as war

battles fierce beneath the sky


Time as different phases 

life From child to youth, then old I see


Oh time, 

do you wear a face or remain ageless in your pace?
